Reviews
Arturo is excellent for customer service and was very polite at 3:30 AM Sunday morning. I ordered a large combo. Hot, fresh and really tasty. Inside of the store was clean. Great value and really good for late night after working a double shift.
Not the strongest kitchen crew...but, when they got my order right, it turned out to be a very tasty burger and an enjoyable dining experience
I've come to this location for years with one of my Fraternal Brothers without issue until today. As soon as we sat down looking over some paperwork before we ordered we were harassed. Twice the Latino lead, supervisor or manager came up to me only, my friend is White, I'm African, asking if we were going to order. We both said yes. This guy comes two more times looking over our paperwork. Then he comes a fourth time asking the same thing. I have never been harassed before but I'm not going back again, ever! We were so angry we just left. Never again!!!!!
everything is just all around mediocre at this place. At times the shakes are fire and hit the spot perfectly, kind of sketchy throughout before even drinking half of it. Also, I could be tripping but I feel like this place changes their hours.
Remember being there late at night when it was open 24 hours and I went the other day where it said they close at three so I’m not really sure what it actually is m.
When you show me all right, it’s open late never is horrible but it didn’t. She either never spent less than $20 there never got more than fries chicken a drink or a fries and a shake and it’s always over 20 cuts.
Different fries are all pretty -legit you can’t go wrong with those as long as they’re still warm, the soggy and gross but I like the sweet potato fries and the skinnyfries the most they’re solid. There not bad, but I would pass on the onion rings,, but we got to taste.
People that work there are actually really chill once you talk to them but when you first walk in there, they kinda give you this crazy kinda unwelcoming borderline intimidating look like they’re sizing you up or something.
I swear it’s funny because it literally happens almost every single time I walk in there this awkward moment until the time I order super chill moving dozed
Walked in and some lady with a blue tracksuit treated myself along with my son very poorly. I asked for a paper menu as I couldn't see the menu and as she saw me straining to see the menu, didn't offer any assistance. I took my business right next door and spent over $40 with somewhere else. I will not even give this location a try due to her rude behavior. I am not homeless and she treated me as such.
I have loved Fatburger for several decades. In n Out is not even on the level of Fatburger! My dbl turkey burger was so good, I had to order a single to eat, before I was done!
Hello Google Family...
...let's start with my perception of 5 Stars:
1 Star ( Needs Immediate Attention )
2 Stars ( Below Expectations )
3 Stars ( Meets Expectations )
4 Stars ( Above Expectations )
5 Stars ( Exceptional )
Now with that out of the way, let's dig in!
I LOVE FOOD, and today I decided to go all out with a delicious FATBURGER.
Jumped in the car and headed over to FATBURGER Store #1102 on the South / East corner of Santa Monica & Sepulveda.
Much to my surprise the store was completely empty at 2:39pm.
Stepped up to the counter and went to town, ordering:
1 Large Burger Meal $14.35
No Relish
Includes Drink
Includes Fat Fries, Ordered Well Done
1 XXL Burger $11.75
ONLY Mayo & Extra Mayo
ONLY Onion & Extra Onion
ADD American Cheese $1.00
ADD Bacon $1.00
1 Onion Rings $5.10
Grand Total $39.36 with TAX
I'm totally cool with paying $39.36 for a delicious meal for two, but I must be living under a rock. $19.68 Check Average per person for fast food?
SERIOUSLY ! ! !
OK, well this is FATBURGER and I always enjoy their food.
Let's take a look at the pro's and con's based on today's visit.
PRO's
•Both custom order burgers were made correctly.
•Fat Fries were perfectly cooked, well done, not burnt.
However, my list of con's outweigh the pro's.
CON's
•Both burgers were extremely overcooked. Health Department requires raw meat to reach a minimum internal temperature of 160°. Both burgers were extremely dry and crispy on the outside suggesting they were overcooked.
•When a customer orders extra extra onions & mayo, it would be expected there be a triple portion of the standard amount, this was not the case.
•Sure, I only paid $1.00 each for cheese and bacon on my burger, but you get one small piece of each. The store is so embarrassed of the portion size they hide it at the bottom of the burger where you can't notice you even have it.
•Though the pictures may not show the true color of my onion rings ordered, please believe they were severely undercooked to the point the batter was chewy.
ADDITIONAL CON's
•I wouldn't say the staff nor husband and wife owner team is unfriendly, but they do not go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
•This location has reduced their drink option's; therefore, I would make sure there is a flavor of your liking before ordering. Example, bring back brewed and fountain Iced Tea selections.
•Tip Box, SERIOUSLY? It seems it has become an excepted behavior to place tip boxes in places you wouldn't usually tip. In any of the other fast-food locations I have visited I HAVE NEVER seen a tip box, let alone one which measure's approximately 1' long by 8" high and 8" deep with a piece of blue painter's tape that reads "TIPS" written in Sharpie.
Is not $19.68 per person for burger and fries and/or onion rings enough?
Now you want to suggest a tip for basic service, limited drinks, overcooked burgers and undercooked onion rings?
NOT A CHANCE ! ! !
Before you say "why did you not mention this to management?" I did check my fries before leaving and was so happy they were cooked correctly, I didn't check the rest.
Should I need to check my order?
Generally speaking, with 30 years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry I find myself to be on the lenient side when it comes to rating F&B outlets.
However, this FATBURGER location missed the mark at several points of service, and I simply can't let that go.
We all work hard for our money, and if national chains providing poor product and mediocre service can't get with the program we need to fight back by saying "this is not OK."
Like, it is not OK for you to continue raising prices in order for you to stay in business due to your actions of chasing off customers.
Remember, reward business operators who have earned your business by providing exceptional customer service, products and pricing...
...they deserve and have earned that feedback as well.
Until next time, this is Gino D.
It’s pretty impressive that this location can do so little with 3 people. One person taking orders. Two people in the kitchen. Takes a solid 30 minutes to get a burger and fries. How is that even possible?!? U take the order. Kitchen should drop the meat on the grill. Should be like 10 mins tops! I won’t be coming back here for late night eats.
